Using crystals to access the subconscious and heal deep wounds

The last month and a half I disappeared from the blogging space. I didn’t have much to say, my mind was fuzzy and I felt tired most of the time. I went very internal and even though I didn’t know what was going on with me I trusted the process and was patient with was unfolding.

Just recently I realised that this time was Scorpio season. I won’t get into details but I have a lot of Scorpio in my birth chart – it’s not a coincidence that personal transformation is one of my favourite subjects. What also resides in this element of the zodiac for me, is a little point called the south node, which is one side of the nodal axis connecting south and north nodes. The south node is important for showing us karmic patterns and lessons from past lives.

Another “coincidence” is that almost as recently I started working with crystals. My passion started after doing and online course and I bought a piece of citrine to invite abundance and joy in my life. This soon became a full blown fascination and I’ve been adding different specimens to my growing collection.

All the time during the past Scorpio season I was working with different crystals. Combined with the sun illuminating my south node, I had multiple dreams and insights on deep-buried issues and traumas. In other words, my healing process was continuing but on a subconscious, much deeper level.

My conscious mind was unable to perceive what was happening but nevertheless the process was still occurring.

Only after the sun moved into the sign of Sagittarius and surpassed my south node in Scorpio, I’m able to see in hindsight what happened during this month and a half. And only now I’m making the connection between using my crystals and receiving insights about deep seated fears and wounds from my past.

I was slowly led by my intuition from one crystal to another, each one of them having different qualities and addressing specific issues. I’ll lie down on the bed and hold the crystal in my hand. Then I’ll put it on a specific part of my body, around a specific chakra, and focus on its powers. I will then let it do its work and sometimes sleep with it by my head or under my pillow.

Each crystal has a unique vibration. Here’s a list of what I’ve used so far and a brief description:

  • citrine: wealth, abundance, joy, positivity
  • tourmaline: cleansing, protecting, absorbs and clears away negative energy
  • smoky quarts: grounding, balancing, neutralizes electromagnetic stress
  • amethyst: a multi-purpose stone aiding in clarity, protection, abundance, communication, aiding relaxation and alleviation of stress
  • amazonite: soothing, anti-anxiety, helps with expressing your true self and dissolving negativity from past traumas
  • apatite: clearing away the fog of our vision, re-awakens clarity and shows the path to self-expression, increase appetite for life
  • rose quartz: compassion, happiness, forgiveness, peace, unconditional love.

As I continue my healing journey my list grows too.

The more you work with the crystals the more you get to know them. I’ve always had some of them around but never used them consciously. I couldn’t even remember their names! But slowly, with intention, I’m getting to know them. With time you will be able to intuitively know which crystal you need to work with when a particular situation arises.

Another important thing is to always wash them after you buy them and let them dry on the window sill for a day and a night. A great way to charge them is to put them under the light of the moon and this practice is especially potent when it’s a full moon.

The most important thing about using and working with crystals is to listen to your intuition. For example, I’m still learning to recognise my inner voice but when something comes up, I trust it’s the right thing for me. When my attention is led to a particular crystal, I trust that I’m led on my journey and this is the tool I need to deal with a certain issue.

Overall, this is a great way to develop your intuition and also learn to trust.

I make a list of the next few crystals I’d like to get and then I let it go. When I go out sometimes I “randomly” pass a crystal shop and I find one of those on the list. Next time I go to a shop which I already know but didn’t know what to get before and know what I’m looking for this time. It is a fun way of working on your intuition and tuning into your inner wisdom and knowledge.

Most importantly, don’t get overwhelmed with remembering everything about crystals, instead focus on your next healing step.

What issues are coming up for you to be healed? Let me know in the comments.
